To my mind it means entering into the knowledge and love of God, having faith in His purpose and in His plan, to such an extent that we know we are right, and that we are not hunting for something else. Alma 13:10-13: I find comfort in these verses. One of the blessings of the Gospel is knowing that the Lord has known this day, our day, the last days, were coming forever and that there is a Plan. We have no need to fear for the future, as He has it worked. It will be interesting to see what happens. I feel the same way about all the issues in my life currently. I chant frequently to myself that the Lord has a Plan. I don't need to know what it is (though that would be nice); I only need to have the faith that there is a Plan.
Alma 14:13 – Alma’s comment to Amuleck when he says they might throw them into the fire as well is an excellent example of “finding rest in the Lord”. He knew God had a plan and he didn’t need to know beyond that. We could all benefit from following this example—especially today as the world seems to be unraveling at such a rapid rate. “Be it according to the will of the Lord.”
