Mosiah 7:28-32 The Lord has promised He will not succor his people in their transgression. Why are we surprised when those who turn against Heavenly Father have such turmoil in their lives? We shouldn't be. In v31 “. . . those who sow filthiness shall reap the east wind.” Millett says the east wind is the wind of destruction. Conversely, in v33 it says if you will turn to the Lord “. . . with full purpose of heart and trust him. . . serve him. . . according to His [Heavenly Father's] will and pleasure, (he will) deliver you out of bondage.”
I have experienced this for myself in such a profound way. It was a dark world where I lived and it was bondage. I tried to get out and failed several times. It was not until I put my trust in Heavenly Father that I was able to be freed, and I cannot serve him enough. The blessings since have been immeasurable.
Of not the same topic, I paused as I read Verse 13. I'm still on quite a high from my Sunday experiences yesterday. The phrase "I am assured", when Ammon was speaking to the king struck me. I really did experience this for myself yesterday in the meetings I attended. I felt assured. I wrote in the margin of my scriptures "Spirit". I felt the Spirit so strong as I got up to bear my testimony. I told of my experience with Mosiah 4. I was also able to contribute in SS. The Spirit helps us speak with assurance. Confirmation comes sometimes when someone thanks you for what you said because it was what they needed to hear. Yes, it was a good day!
