One more evidence

Ether speaks of a New Jerusalem and prophecies of the Jaredite destruction.  War continues.

As much as I love the Book of Mormon, the constant warring and keeping track of rulers, etc. makes me weary.  I wondered this morning if Moroni became weary of reading it and making an abridgment.  Not a thought that improves me spiritually, but just a thought.

Moroni writes in v2 “. . .the Lord would have that all men should serve him who dwell upon the face thereof.”  I believe as we read Ether, we see a “fast track” of what we can expect with our nation should the people cease completely to worship the Lord.  The only thing that brings me comfort is the fact that we have modern-day revelation that makes it clear who is going to win this war against evil in our day, and it’s not Satan as long as we have some righteous amongst us.  The Savior will return and He will be our King!

I am intrigued, as I read v20-21.  Many people argue the validity of the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith.  Really?   All one has to do is read it and you would know instantly it could not be the creation of one mind.  Ether prophesied that “. . . Coriantumr would live to see the fulfilling of the prophecies which had been spoken concerning another people receiving the land for their inheritance. . .”  This was put in there almost as an after thought.  We know in Omni 1:21 that indeed Coriantumr did find the Nephite nation and lived with them for nine “moons”.  This is just one more evidence to me the Book of Mormon is true and a history of a people who were scattered and destroyed many year ago.
