This is one of my favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon. Remember in Chapter 31:14 it talks about speaking with the tongue of angels. I wrote in my margin: How do angels speak? The answer to that question is in Chapter 32:3 where I wrote: They speak the words of Christ.
One thing I have noticed about many of our angelic older church members. When they speak, often it is scripture that proceeds from their mouths – not their own prophecies, but the words of the prophets from the scriptures. Why is that? They have been immersing themselves in scriptures for years and years. Pretty soon, it is who they are, and it is the words they speak. As we begin to feast upon the scriptures, to check the cross references and memorize scripture passages, we too can speak with the tongue of angels.
Since General Conference is just around the corner, pay attention to those who speak. Many of them speak scripture fluently and you don't even notice they have quoted from the scriptures until you read your Ensign and see the references. It is who they are. They speak with the tongue of angels, and that comes from serious feasting upon the scriptures.
