Satan's Playbill

2 Nephi 28 – This chapter is Satan’s “playbill”.  A “playbill” is the handbook of the enemy – in this case, Satan!  What an amazing chapter for those who want to know how Satan’s works. 

Today’s question?  In what ways do pride and false teachings influence people?

Pride tells us we are right and everybody else is wrong.  Pride keeps us from approaching the Lord in sincere prayer and asking the question: What wouldst thou have me to do?  Pride makes us contend with others (v4) rather than listen with the intent to learn and discern.  Pride denies the power of God and his influence in our lives.  Pride blinds us to the miracles around us.  Pride causes us to hide our imperfections, and refuse to counsel with the Lord in our doings.  Pride keeps us from progressing and becoming fit to return to God’s presence.  Pride is one of Satan’s biggest and most valued tools and must be avoided at all costs.
