Power of Testimony

3 Nephi 7

Carnage continues.  The Nephites break off into tribes and although they do not believe the same things, they are united in their hatred of the Nephites and their desires to destroy them.  Nephi puts his entire efforts into preaching “boldly” among the people.  He has some effect.  Even though they weren’t happy with him, they could not deny his powers.  He was ministered to by angels daily and even raised his brother from the dead after he had been stoned to death.

At this time in the life of Jesus Christ, it is nearing his crucifixion and resurrection.  There are three years left, and the world is in a chaotic mess.  As I read, I try to compare it to our day.  Are we so wicked as a people?  There are tribes amongst us in the form of gangs, but they aren’t huge.  My biggest worry is the secret combinations, i.e. those in high government places who protect each other from consequences of their evil to become more powerful.  The Church is having great success in spreading the gospel, and generally is respected although some still fear us.  But I believe the many ways the gospel is being presented via media and the Internet is changing the hearts of men to be a little more receptive.

So where does this put me in my efforts to be what the Lord would have me be?  I believe I must continue to bear my testimony whenever given the opportunity.  My life must be my testimony.  I try hard do so through this website.  I am also about ready to launch my music website which contains my testimony in the form of music.  If you’re interested in free music, you can go to www.cmsfamily.net and download anything there for free.  There is more to come (much more), but there’s enough there to play with if one wanted to.
