3 Nephi 14
Jesus continues speaking to the multitude the same lessons he taught to the Jews before his crucifixion. He tells them to judge not. To ask the Lord for those things that you need. Salvation is promised to those who do the will of the Father.
The thought that struck me this morning was this: “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” V15
Then Jesus tells them how to tell if a man is truly a prophet. He says “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” V16
A good tree will bring forth good fruit; a corrupt tree will bring forth corrupt fruit.
In this day with the political conflicts going on, this would seem to me to be a pretty basic understanding. Why doesn’t the world get this? Instead, they are suspect of too much good in a person’s life. What a sad commentary for this great nation.
