Alma 17 – Men of Sound Understanding - A title worthy of seeking.
What things did the sons of Mosiah do to acquire this status? Verses 2-3:
- · They studied scriptures to know the word of God
- · Much prayer
- · Fasting
These things gave them the spirit of prophecy and revelation.
These practices allowed them to be instruments in the hands of God.
How does this apply to me? I praying to be an instrument in God’s hands enough? It is obviously not. Faith (prayer) without works (reading scriptures, fasting and prayer) is dead. (James 2:26)
