Alma 10 – Amulek is a second witness to the truths Alma spoke. The people didn’t like that and the lawyers – whose employ came from stirring up the people – became active in putting into the hearts of the people the things spoken against them.
The nugget I picked up (and this has been the case each time I’ve read this chapter) is verses 19-23 when the voice of the people choose evil – or transgress the laws of God, they are ripe for destruction and 2) it is the prayers of the righteous that keep this from happening.
You are so very important. This work is so much the stronger because of you. Whenever you step over the line in an immoral act or in doing any other evil thing, the Church is that much weaker because of what you have done. This is a serious message for us today.
