Alma 41 – Alma continues his talk with Corianton – this time on the topic of restoration.  Quite simply, we will be restored to that which we have become in this earth life. That's a sobering thought.

Verse 15 – “That which ye do send out shall return unto you again, and be restored.”

That sentence alone should be enough to motivate us to make righteous choices - to seek for the best gifts so to speak.

I continue to be intrigued at Corianton’s willingness to listen.  No wonder he went on to do great things.

Pres. Uchtdorf asks in Priesthood session of conference:  Are we. . . living below our privileges when it comes to the sacred power, gifts and blessings that are our opportunity . . . ?  The choice is ours:  abundance or settle?

                 “. . . reach beyond our earthly limitations. . . “

“. . . seek the light of personal inspiration.  Let us please with the Lord to endow our mind and soul with the spark of faith that will enable us to receive. . .
                “[are we] . . . going through the motions. . . ?”
“[have we] lost our sense of awe. . . ?”
“. . . let us not pass through life immersed in the three W’s:  wearied, worrying and whining.”
“. . . seek to learn the doctrine. . . strengthen our testimonies line upon line. . . and find joy. . . We will begin to live up to our potential and privileges

In effect, Corianton accepted the challenge to live up to his potential.  Although President Uchtdorf’s talk was to the Priesthood, it applies to all of us.  We can choose to live up to our privileges.
