Alma 30 - Oh Korihor! Poor, misguided man who believed Satan more than the truth. One thing you don’t ever want to do. Don’t ever ask for a sign that there is a God. If the many signs that exist every day around us aren’t enough, you’re in trouble.
Pres. Packer said “All inspiration does not come from God. The evil one has the power to tap into those channels of revelation and send conflicting signals which can mislead and confuse us. There are promptings from evil sources which are so carefully counterfeited as to deceive even the very elect.” And again in verse 60 – And thus we see “the devil will not support his children at the last day, but doth speedily drag them down to hell.”
So where is Korihor? Will he be taught in Spirit Prison? D&C 138:25-37 makes it pretty clear to me. Korihor was rebellious. I believe he will be taught. Now this conjures up another question. I wonder if anyone in the latter days has done the temple work for those people in the Book of Mormon? I wonder how a person finds out?
